SBS Core Hosts Fall Networking Event

Tuesday, November 25, 2014

On Wednesday, November 19, 2014, the Social and Behavioral Sciences Core hosted a networking lunch. The theme was: “Promoting Research on the Intersection of Mental Health, Substance Use, and HIV at Duke,” and the event brought together investigators, research staff, and trainees working domestically and globally from various disciplines, including psychiatry, psychology, nursing, and medicine.  Participants formed small groups and discussed how their work was related to the topics of “HIV Treatment and Care Engagement,” “Substance Use,” and “Mental Health,” while enjoying a delicious meal from Daisy Cakes.  Participants appreciated the opportunity to learn about the work of others, and to form new connections with colleagues working at the intersection of mental health, substance use, and HIV.
