Primary Care Management of Vascular Diseases
Duke's Division of Vascular and Endovascular Surgery presents Primary Care Management of Vascular Diseases. This one-day virtual CME course is designed to expose the family medical provider to management of common vascular diseases. The course will describe new surgical interventions and current treatment strategies for vascular patients. Attendees will review proper work-up of common diagnoses and when to refer for surgical consult. Question and answer forums will allow interactive discussion and direct feedback to questions. Target Audience: This program is designed to meet the continuing educational needs of primary care providers with regard to patients with vascular diseases including physicians, physician assistants, nurse practitioners, and nurses. Course Objectives: At the end of this course, participants will be able to: · Identify vascular disease risk factors · Describe best-practices for diagnosing, treating and referring patients with vascular disease · Summarize new developments in the management of vascular disease · Outline evidence-based best practices for wound care for patients with vascular disease.
