The SBS Core is excited to work with two new clinical investigators with interests in social and behavioral sciences.
Dr. Megan Huchko is an associate professor in the departments of obstetrics & gynecology and global health. She practices as an OB/GYN generalist and specializes in cervical cancer treatment. Her research focuses on optimizing the diagnosis and treatment of cervical cancer, and the co-occurrence of cervical cancer and HIV. She has been working in western Kenya for over 10 years.
Dr. Gita Suneja is an associate professor in the departments of radiation oncology and global health. Her clinical specialties include the treatment of breast and gynecologic malignancies, while her research focuses on health services, access to care, and patient outcomes. She outlined this work in her talk at the 2016 CFAR Fall Retreat titled “Cancer treatment disparities in the U.S. HIV Population.”
