Please see this flyer for the Emory CFAR’s 2nd Annual Planning for Success course. This intensive NIH R-level grant writing course is open to all eligible CFAR faculty.
“Planning for Success” (PfS) is for CFAR faculty who:
- Are interested in building a career as an NIH-funded independent investigator in HIV research, and
- Have either never submitted an R-level application (R01, R03, R21) to the NIH or have not yet been successful in having a submitted R-level application be funded, and
- Are developing an HIV application for Fall 2020 submission or resubmission to the NIH.
Participation in the course is free. Faculty who are in their next to last year of a K-award (K01, K23) are particularly appropriate for participation but we will also accept faculty who are pursuing R-level funding without prior K training.
PfS course meetings will take place on line, via Zoom, the second Tuesday of the month (2:00 – 4:00pm ET) beginning with an orientation session on November 12th. Regular classes will begin on January 14, 2020.
