Registration is open for the “Strengthening the Impact of Community Health Workers on HIV Care and Viral Suppression in the U.S.” conference.

September 16 - 17, 2019, Bethesda, MD

The purpose of this two-day conference is to:

  • Address the roles of community health workers (CHWs) to strengthen HIV care, service delivery, and treatment outcomes in the U.S.
  • Evaluate the current research evidence base on the impact of CHWs on HIV and other health-related outcomes
  • Identify research strategies to strengthen the impact of CHWs on HIV care and viral suppression in the U.S.

The conference will be held on the NIH Campus in Bethesda, MD. The event will also be broadcast live and archived at http://videocast.nih.gov.

This conference is presented by NINR and the NIH Office of AIDS Research (OAR), with the participation of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), Health Resources & Services Administration (HRSA), and Indian Health Service (IHS).
